Syncope is a WIP 3rd Person Action RPG loosely Based around Soulslike Gameplay, this is merely a proof of concept and not a full fledged release, judge accordingly.
Enter a world ravaged by war, centuries passed since the war against the Dragons, mankind used its advanced magical knowledge to blacken the sky and bring the Dragons to their knees.
But it had tragic consequences, blotting out the Sun reduced the surface temperature of Tartalis to below freezing, life on the surface slowly died out and what was left of humanity fled underground to survive.
Linked by ancient portals these settlements soon drifted apart as knowledge of the ancient arts was eroded and lost over the centuries.
Shortly a new tradition evolved, where the mages of these disparate and seperated settlements resolved to evoke what little magic they could, once per year to send a single adventurer on a pilgramage to reunite the settlements. The mages gathered their strength and together were able to power the ancient portals for a single traveller on a one way trip.
You ARE the chosen traveller, wether by luck or design, the fate of Tartalis rests in your hands.
